NWAHA Name Change!
As many have heard the Northwest Arkansas Hockey Association is looking forward to a name change. The University of Arkansas started a club hockey team known as the Ice Hogs. The Board felt there were many benefits to aligning with the U of A hockey team. We've met with Patrick Forseth, U of A head coach, to discuss ways to leverage both organizations to grow youth hockey in NW Arkansas. The Board felt the best way to connect the two organizations was through our name and look. Starting with the 2008/2009 season we will become the NWAHA "Jr. Ice Hogs". That means new uniforms and the website will be updated with new imagery as soon as it becomes available.
